Are the over water bungalows with the plunge pool worth the extra money?
Bora Bora Island Guide's response:
Hi Emily,
In regards to the pools in the over water bungalows - it will depend on how much you like swimming in pools, or how much time you will spend in the lagoon. I had always dreamed of having a bungalow with a pool and on our most recent trip, finally got to live that dream - and do you know what - I only got in the pool once to take a photo, and spent the rest of the time swimming in the gorgeous lagoon! I think if we had a sunset facing bungalow we probably would have used the pool in the evening.
I am Australian so love beaches and salt water, but I have noticed that most Americans prefer the pool at the resorts to the gorgeous beach. As you are from an island you might be someone who is comfortable in the sea, so find that the lagoon is more tempting to you.
Let me know if I can be of any more help.
Kind regards,
Melinda
