Tickets for Lagoonarium Bora Bora

by Evelyn Nguyen
(Toronto, Canada)

We are 4 adults. We will be arriving to Bora Bora by cruise ship on October 9, 2019 and stay here from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. We want to take the Full Day Tour to the Lagoonarium Bora Bora. Please advise if we need to pre-book tickets, or can we buy tickets at the Bora Bora dock when we arrive. I do not find any email address to make the booking.

How much is the price? Do they pick up visitors from the dock and transfer them back to the dock?

Thank you.

Bora Bora Island Guide's Response

Hi Evelyn,

What a wonderful day you have to look forward to. Planning ahead and making the most of your one precious day in Bora Bora is a very smart thing to do. It is true that you can get off the ship and there will be some activity providers at the dock that offer the most popular style of tours for those walking off the cruise ship without a tour planned. The ones for sale always include a half day snorkeling tour and half 4WD tours, though there are a few other options usually too. However, if you book something ahead of time you can secure one of the best tour providers and make the most of your day - like on a full day tour.

We don't recommend the lagoonarium to our readers, as it is a small area where a few sea creatures are closed in from the lagoon. It is much more special seeing the Bora Bora lagoon naturally out on a very safe boat. Going on a Bora Bora circle island tour and snorkeling excursion is the highlight of Bora Bora. It is so much more beautiful and scenic, and you have the chance to see so much more in the lagoon - like manta rays, eagle rays and even dolphins than you would see at the Lagoonarium! The guides are very experienced and professional while making the day fun. You can choose to get in the water or not at each stop, and they will assist you if you are a little nervous. Most people feel very comfortable getting into the Bora Bora lagoon as it is so calm, warm and beautiful. It is the most amazing "aquarium" visit you will ever have!

I'd recommend you look at one of the snorkeling tours that includes a motu picnic lunch stop. You will want to book the tour you want ahead of time as they do sell out, particularly on the days a ship is in port.
The following link shows all the tours in Bora Bora that can be booked online: Bora Bora Activities

This is the tour that I would recommend to you as it includes a beautiful lunch stop on a motu with incredible views. It also will fit within your timing in Bora Bora: Bora Bora Snorkel Cruise by Polynesian Outrigger Canoe with BBQ Island Lunch
