Bora Bora Island Guide's Response
Hi Mikayla,
People in Bora Bora listen to music styles from all over the world. You can turn on the radio and hear pop tunes that you would hear back there in the USA or here in Australia.
Traditional Tahitian music uses drums, conch shells, nasal flutes and ukulele. In Tahiti, music and dancing are closely linked. Songs are accompanied by dancing, similar to the Hawaiian hula, and tell stories through movements.
